Kosh
Terms of service

The deal, in plain English.

These terms are the agreement between you and Primedepth Labs for using Kosh. We've kept them as short and clear as we can. Please read them, because they matter.

Last updated 22 October 2026

In short
  • Kosh is an educational tool that helps you understand and plan your money. It is not an investment adviser, broker, bank, chartered accountant or tax filer.
  • You decide what to do with your money. Check anything important, especially tax figures, before you act on it.
  • Only upload statements that are yours, or that you have permission to share.
  • Pro renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime from Settings and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
  • If something goes wrong, talk to us first. Indian law applies, and disputes go to the courts at SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab.

01Agreement

Kosh is a product of Primedepth Labs (“we”, “us”), a partnership firm registered in India. By creating an account or using Kosh, you agree to these terms, our Privacy policy, our Refunds and cancellation policy and our Financial disclaimer. Together they form the whole agreement between us.

If you don't agree, please don't use Kosh. These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and don't need a physical or digital signature.

02Who can use Kosh

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
  • You must be resident in India. Kosh is built around Indian banks, tax law and markets.
  • You must use Kosh for your own personal or household finances.
  • You must not have been suspended from Kosh before.

03What Kosh is, and isn't

Kosh reads the bank, card and investment statements you upload, organises your transactions, estimates your tax under both Indian regimes, writes recommendations, designs screens around your money, answers your questions in chat and sends you emails such as reminders, digests and, on Pro, a morning market brief.

Kosh is not:

  • an investment adviser or research analyst registered with SEBI;
  • a stock broker, depository participant or distributor of financial products;
  • a bank, payment system or any other entity regulated by the RBI;
  • a chartered accountant, tax practitioner or return filer.

Kosh never asks for bank logins, OTPs, PINs or card numbers. It can't move your money, execute trades or file returns. Everything it tells you is general and educational. Read the full Financial disclaimer.

04Your account

  • Give us accurate details and keep your email address current. We send important notices there.
  • Keep your password private and don't share your account. You're responsible for what happens under it.
  • Tell us straight away at contact@trykosh.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
  • One person, one account. Accounts can't be sold or transferred.

05Your content

“Your content” means the statements and documents you upload, the details you give us and the questions you ask. You own it.

You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and transmit your content only as needed to run Kosh for you, including sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy policy. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law.

You promise that you only upload documents that belong to you, or that you are authorised to share by the person they belong to, and that uploading them doesn't break any law or agreement. Don't upload other people's financial data without their permission.

06Acceptable use

Please use Kosh fairly. You must not:

  • scrape, crawl or extract data from Kosh by automated means;
  • copy, decompile, reverse engineer or try to extract the source code, prompts or models behind Kosh, except where the law allows it;
  • probe, scan or test our systems for weaknesses, or break or get around any security or authentication, except under our responsible disclosure rules;
  • get around plan limits, trial rules or fair-use limits, for example with multiple accounts;
  • upload anyone else's data without permission, or upload malware or files designed to harm the service;
  • overload, disrupt or abuse Kosh, our staff or other users;
  • use Kosh for anything illegal, including fraud, money laundering or tax evasion;
  • resell Kosh or use it to provide services to others without our written permission.

07Plans, trial and billing

Plans

  • Starter (free): 1 statement a month and 10 questions to your CFO a month, with your money summary and your first recommendation.
  • Pro: ₹2,000 a month or ₹19,999 a year. Prices include GST.

Trial

New Pro subscriptions start with a 7-day trial that costs ₹99, charged when the trial starts. When the trial ends, the plan you chose (monthly or yearly) renews automatically at the full price unless you cancel before the trial ends. We email you a reminder 2 days before your trial ends. One trial per person.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year, at the then-current price, until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorise us and our payment partner to charge your chosen payment method on each renewal, including through UPI AutoPay or a card e-mandate. You'll get pre-debit notifications as RBI rules require.

Cancellation

Cancel anytime from Settings → Plan → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. You keep Pro until then, and you won't be charged again. After that, your account moves to Starter; your data stays unless you delete it.

Fair use

Pro is meant for one person's finances. It includes up to 100 statements and 1,500 questions a month. That's far more than most people need. If use goes well beyond it, or looks automated, we may slow things down or ask you to get in touch.

Payments

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and issues your invoices. You can pay with UPI, cards or net banking. Your payment details go straight to Dodo Payments and never reach us. Dodo Payments' own terms also apply to the payment.

Price changes

If we change prices, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change applies to you. The new price applies from your next renewal after that notice. If you don't want to pay it, cancel before then.

08Refunds

The ₹99 trial fee is non-refundable. You can get a full refund of your first full charge after the trial if you ask within 7 days of it. Duplicate or wrong charges are always refunded. The details are in our Refunds and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in it limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

09Emails and notices

By creating an account, you agree that we can contact you by email and in the app. Some emails are needed to run your account, such as receipts, trial reminders, security alerts and changes to these terms. You can't turn those off while your account is open.

Other emails, such as reminders, the Sunday digest, statement reviews and the morning market brief, are optional. Change them anytime in Settings. We don't send marketing on behalf of other companies.

10Third-party services

Kosh relies on other companies for hosting, storage, AI, email and payments. They're listed in our Privacy policy. Kosh may also mention or link to banks, funds, websites or government portals. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, products or availability. A mention isn't an endorsement, and we don't earn commissions from them.

11AI output

Kosh uses AI to read statements, research tax rules and write what you see. AI is powerful, but it can be wrong. It may misread a transaction, miss a rule, use out-of-date information or state something with more confidence than it deserves.

  • Check important figures against your original statements and official sources, such as the Income Tax Department, your Form 16, AIS and Form 26AS.
  • Don't rely on Kosh alone for a decision that matters. Speak to a SEBI-registered adviser or a chartered accountant where appropriate.
  • Output is produced for you. It may look similar to output for other people, and it isn't exclusive to you.

12Intellectual property

Kosh, its software, design, text, logos and the name “Kosh” belong to Primedepth Labs or our licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Kosh under these terms. We keep all other rights. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely without paying you or owing you anything.

13Disclaimers

We work hard to make Kosh accurate, secure and always available. But we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the extent Indian law allows, we don't promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any estimate, projection or recommendation will be correct or will achieve any result.

Markets carry risk. Past performance doesn't predict future returns. Tax law changes, and your situation may have details Kosh doesn't know.

14Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law:

  • Your decisions are yours. We aren't liable for any loss from financial, investment, tax or other decisions you make, or don't make, using Kosh, including tax interest, penalties or missed deductions.
  • No indirect losses. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, returns, savings, opportunities or data, even if we were told they were possible.
  • Overall cap. Our total liability for all claims relating to Kosh is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or ₹2,000.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

15Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law, or uploaded data you had no right to share, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, arising from that claim. We'll tell you about the claim and let you help defend it.

16Suspension and termination

You can stop using Kosh anytime, and delete your account from Settings → Delete my account. We erase your data within 30 days, as described in our Privacy policy.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect Kosh, other users or the public. Where we reasonably can, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem and download your data. If we close a paid account without a good reason related to your conduct, we'll refund the unused part of your current period. We may also stop offering Kosh altogether. If we do, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused prepaid period.

Sections that by their nature should survive, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, survive termination.

17Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Kosh and the law change. For material changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Smaller changes, like fixing typos or clarifying wording, may apply straight away. If you keep using Kosh after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, cancel and delete your account before then.

18Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

If you have a problem, please talk to us first. Write to our Grievance Officer at contact@trykosh.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days. Most things can be fixed this way.

If we can't resolve it, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab. This doesn't take away your right to approach a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Data Protection Board of India, where the law gives you that right.

19General

  • Entire agreement: these terms and the policies they link to are the whole agreement between us about Kosh.
  • Severability: if any part is found unenforceable, it will be applied as far as possible and the rest stays in force.
  • Assignment: you can't transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of assets, and these terms will continue to apply.
  • No waiver: if we don't enforce a term straight away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
  • Force majeure: we aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, outages at our providers, internet failures, government action or strikes.
  • Language: these terms are written in English. If a translation conflicts with the English version, the English version applies.
